Kellie Bauer-Simpson – Principal Ecologist/Environmental Manager
Kellie is an environmental manager and ecologist, with a specialty in botany, and more than 17 years’ experience in environmental consulting in Perth. Kellie has significant experience in the management and execution of ecological assessments and monitoring, as well as environmental impact assessments and management planning. She has participated in a number of development projects in the areas of environmental assessments and stakeholder and community consultation. Through almost a decade of experience in managing consulting teams, Kellie has earned valuable expertise in business operations, staff engagement and business development. This combined with an interest in marketing has culminated in Kellie’s method for business development strategy planning to assist small to medium businesses in optimising their market share and effectiveness. Kellie has previosuly been accredited as a RABQSA auditor and is experienced in the preparation of EMSs, wider management systems and auditing.
Will Bauer-Simpson – Advisor, HSEQ
Will is an experienced Quality Systems Manager and Business Systems Co-ordinator, having previously worked in an Integrated Management (HSEQ) System (IMS) Coordinator role for a global engineering and environmental consulting firm and in a Quality Manager role for a niche environmental and occupational hygiene consultancy. Will is familiar with standards as they relate to ISO requirements for safety, quality and environmental management (ISO 18001, 14001, 9001; AS/NZS 4801), having operated in both technical and corporate support roles within a tri-certified global company. He is an accredited Lead Auditor (Quality Systems, SAI Global), with a Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management). Will is also experienced in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) consulting, with professional experience in contributing to various environmental and occupational health and safety projects, such as site remediations and hazardour materials management.

Melissa Harrison - Principal Environmental Scientist
Mel is the Director of Artizo Solutions Pty Ltd and an associate environmental scientist of Focused Vision Consulting. She has more than ten years’ experience in the environmental industry, with experience in roles as a consultant, within the Water Corporation and in the mining sector. Mel has an in-depth understanding of the often complex and interrelated environmental, technical and regulatory issues associated with a wide range of projects with experience in regulatory approvals, compliance and auditing, and also in the preparation of environmental management plans and HSE management systems.
Gabriela Martinez - Senior Botanist/Environmental Scientist
Gaby is an independent Senior Botanist and Environmental Scientist and a specialist sub-consultant of Focused Vision Consulting. She has over 14 years’ experience in local and international sectors in the management and execution of complex multi-disciplinary projects, incorporating ecological assessments, monitoring and management. Gaby has specialised in the collection of baseline ecological data, in particular in relation to flora and vegetation. In recent years, she has also taken this technical background and applied it to a more focused impact assessment, management planning and approvals role.
Catherine Krens - Senior Botanist/Bushfire Manager
Catherine has more than 10 years’ experience in the environmental industry in Perth. Her experience includes a number of major projects across WA and her expertise is in flora and vegetation assessments, technical reporting, impact assessment and management advice. Catherine is an accredited Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) assessor and is experienced in bushfire management planning. She is adept with the design of sampling programs and in seeking endorsement of regulators.
Jeff Turpin - Senior Zoologist
Jeff is a specialist sub-consultant of Focused Vision Consulting. He has been undertaking biological surveys since 1998, has worked across much of WA and has extensive experience in the design and implementation of zoological assessments. Jeff is experienced in conducting terrestrial fauna surveys and assessments principally for EIA purposes and he aims to conduct all of his fauna surveys to the highest possible standards, utilising the latest technology.
Greg Harewood - Senior Zoologist
Greg is an independent zoologist and a specialist sub-consultant of Focused Vision Consulting. He specialises in fauna survey work and has twenty seven years’ experience working in the environmental and resource sectors. Greg has extensive skills in environmental investigations relating to obtaining approvals for land and resource development projects across all bioregions of WA. He has carried out numerous fauna and habitat surveys, impact assessments, targeted threatened fauna surveys, as well as having undertaken a number of projects involving clearing supervision and fauna relocations.
Wayne Ennor - Principal Environment and Heritage Manager
Wayne has more than 18 years’ experience in environmental and heritage management, having most recently operated for more than eight years as Manager of Environment and Approvals for a mid-tier iron ore mining company with several projects in the Mid-West region. He has a demonstrated track record in the co-ordination of large scale environmental impact assessments and in securing approvals, as well as ensuring compliance with approvals obtained. He has developed close professional relationships with a number of government personnel, based on his previous role and in prior positions with WA State government agencies.
Lara Jefferson - Principal Approvals Advisor
Lara has more than 17 years of award winning project management experience in environmental management. Her leadership and problem solving initiatives have demonstrated excellence in environmental management. As an energetic and dynamic leader, Lara has a proven track record in providing advice and direction to senior executive teams regarding approvals strategies, and in implementing these to secure approvals for some of the highest profile mining projects in WA. Lara’s experience includes contributing to projects across all stages of their life cycle, from feasibility studies and approvals, to management and compliance.
Udani Sirisena - Botanist/Taxonomist
Udani is an environmental scientist with a speciality in botany, in particular plant taxonomy, with over 10 years’ experience. She has been working in consulting since 2010. Udani’s plant identification skills across all bioregions of WA provide invaluable support to projects in the efficient, timely and accurate identification of specimens. Udani is also experienced in reporting, floristic analysis, GIS and in the preparation of statutory approvals documents.
